The original Dollar 20 Blues Band formed in 2010 from a humble beginning in a shed next to a freeway in Melbourne’s north. The band got their name during the first practice session when a group of kids listening from a nearby park pushed a pocket full of small change through the cracks in the shed’s fibro sheeting. Not a huge paying first gig, but a good sign right from the very start. The band has gone on to bigger things since then but the humble beginnings remain intrinsic to their music and their wealth of musical experience is astounding and seemingly endless.
Jam starts at 3.00 pm till 5.30 pm. Session from 6.00 pm till 9.00 pm. Sausage sizzle and drinks available. Geelong Trades Hall, 127 Myers Street, Geelong (entry from Smythe Place).
